Alexander Grau has been working as a freelance journalist and author since 2003. His concerns: Don't make himself common with a cause. Raising awareness of the contingency and relativity of personal convictions. Defending freedom and individualism.

His texts and articles appear in Cicero, NZZ, Spiegel, FAZ, Schweizer Monat, Pragmaticus, DLF and SWR, among others.

In his weekly column Grauzone, which has  appeared on Cicero-online every Saturday since 2015, he addresses issues relating to the political and social zeitgeist.
